About the Role
Leidos is seeking an Environmental Occupational Health and Safety (EOSH) Professional with Fall Protection Training expertise to support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Programs. The role focuses on mitigating organizational risks and improving compliance with safety and environmental laws, specifically supporting the FAA’s Fall Protection Program. Responsibilities include creating, monitoring, tracking, interpreting, and presenting reports and SOPs to management.
Responsibilities
- Inspect workplace for potential fall hazards, determine mitigation steps, and submit recommendations to the FAA.
- Conduct equipment inspections to recommend repair and replacements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on current safety regulations (OSHA, ANSI, EPA, DOT) and stay updated on evolving regulations.
- Deliver clear and relatable technical training to various career levels.
- Conduct individual student evaluations to determine successful course completion.
- Prepare and submit required pre- and post-course reporting.
- Organize and manage all individual travel arrangements.
- Ensure Fall Protection specifications align with all applicable federal, state, local, and agency-specific laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Requires BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters and prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Ability to classify and summarize EOSH data for report preparation and submission.
- Ability to work at heights, complete fall protection training, and achieve rescue level fall protection certification.
- Ensure all fall protection specifications are consistent with all applicable Federal, State, Local and Agency specific laws, regulations, and guidelines related to Fall Protection.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Ability to work at heights on towers up to 100ft and to safely lift 75 lbs.
- Solid analytical, planning, and program assessment skills in the Environmental Occupational Health and Safety field.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, EPA, and DOT regulations, practices, and/or protocols.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to create, interpret, and present various EOSH related reports.
- Working knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Power Point).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
