About the Role

The Wealth Advisory Investment Strategy role is a leadership position within the Eagle Strategies Wealth Advisory Group. This individual will manage strategic relationships with third-party asset managers and platform providers to support the design and delivery of customized investment models for clients with investable assets of $5 million or more. The role is critical to the evolution of the Wealth Advisory Group, ensuring alignment with business priorities, client goals, and market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with the Wealth Advisory Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO), external asset managers, and investment platforms and research providers.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of multi-asset model portfolios and unified managed account strategies in partnership with the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO).
  • Assist with product access and partnership strategies to optimize client outcomes.
  • Align investment offerings with client segmentation and evolving market trends.
  • Lead the coordination, distribution, and facilitation of all investment research materials, market impact analyses, and portfolio model changes.
  • Collaborate with third-party investment managers and internal product and research teams to ensure models adhere to regulatory, fiduciary, and operational standards.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for portfolio construction, investment manager selection, and investment platform strategy.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Wealth Advisory, Wealth Advisory Client Coverage Team, and OCIO portfolio strategists to ensure seamless delivery of client solutioning.
  • Champion a deliberate, forward-looking strategic perspective to ensure the investment approach is thoughtfully positioned and consistently aligned with the firm's Wealth Advisory value proposition.
  • Provide thought leadership on capital markets, portfolio theory, and innovation in investment solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) and / or professional designation (CFA, CAIA) required.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in wealth management, private banking, family office, or investment product.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Deep knowledge of investment managers across asset classes and vehicles (e.g., mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs, alternatives).
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, portfolio asset allocation, and investment theory, with the ability to apply these disciplines in the context of clients with investable assets of $5 million or more.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to internal stakeholders at New York Life.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively within a team and across various stakeholders, including Wealth Advisory Client Coverage, Client Relations, and Client Implementation.
  • Resourceful, self-starter, attentive to detail and capable of multi-tasking in a face-paced environment.
  • Highly committed and dedicated professional with a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and handle sensitive client, partner, and proprietary business information with the utmost discretion.
  • This role requires FINRA licensed and/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
