About the Role
Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd Shift. This role provides leadership and direction for a work group, tracking performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will be the primary contact between production employees and management, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily team stand-up meetings with all department personnel.
- Represent the company when interacting with production employees.
- Drive and implement safety policies and programs.
- Meet operating budgets.
- Complete continuous improvement plans.
- Coach employees on behavior and performance.
- Monitor control plans and troubleshoot workmanship problems.
- Supervise production activities to ensure products meet quality requirements.
- Ensure standardized work processes are followed and implement countermeasures.
- Ensure assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instructions, and tools.
- Utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory, and lead-times.
- Align with long-term manufacturing strategies.
- Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule.
- Monitor employee work requirements to meet customer deadlines.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience.
- Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY to be considered (Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt).
