Responsibilities

Provide leadership to ensure a collaborative, inclusive team environment where people feel empowered, accountable, and deeply connected.
Act as a practitioner within the Business Analyst Capability Community of Practice (CoP).
Perform deep dive gap analysis on As-Is and To Be states in collaboration with stakeholders.
Elicit, analyze, prioritize, and approve new business requests with Project/Program Owners and Subject Matter Experts.
Define transitions of business processes to strategic states, including interim/tactical states.
Analyze and map process flows, domain models, system data flows, and life cycle events.
Generate business requirements (epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria) and articulate them to a diverse audience.
Utilize formal modeling techniques to represent business requirements.
Liaise with internal project/domain teams to understand dependencies and deliver solutions.
Review and contribute to test scenarios and the overall Test Strategy.
Liaise with IT solution providers on project progress and problem resolution.
Assume cross-functional responsibilities such as project coordination, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Work with Release Management for smooth implementation and transition phases.
Contribute to change management activities and prepare training artifacts.
Conduct peer reviews of business analysis artifacts to ensure quality and alignment.
Produce high-quality business analysis deliverables using relevant techniques and tools.
Actively participate in the BA Community of Practice (CoP).
Support stakeholders in adapting to new processes.

Requirements

5+ years of dedicated business analysis experience on Agile, Lean, and Waterfall projects.
Experience working independently on Tier 1 projects across the full SDLC.
Deep understanding of business analysis fundamentals.
Experience gathering stakeholder needs and translating them into detailed requirements.
Experience in business process modeling using software like MS Visio or other enterprise platforms.
Experience using Atlassian tool suite (JIRA and Confluence).
Effective communication, facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across seniority levels.
Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment.
Comfortable working within a matrix structure.
Experience working with Change Management and influencing user behavior.
Proficiency in analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and gaps.
Ability to query databases (Oracle, SQL Server) to retrieve, map, and update data.
Expertise in tracking data from source to target, understanding data transformations, and maintaining mapping documents.
Knowledge of listed financial products (stocks, warrants, options, futures).
Proven ability to provide support for production incidents and end-user queries.
Financial services background with industry experience.
Knowledge of data management practices to correct existing inconsistencies.
Sound knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data manipulation.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
Understanding of ETL processes for data integration and migration.
Knowledge of Cloud based services in AWS.
Understanding of data governance principles (data stewardship, data quality rules).
Experience with implementation of controls for data movement across applications.
Experience working with quantitative risk management applications.
Knowledge of quantitative risk measurement concepts (value at risk, stress testing).
Must be legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
