About the Role
This Manager opportunity in our Treasury & Risk team, based in Sydney or Melbourne with a hybrid work model, will lead client work on complex prudential and financial risk challenges. You will lead complex market risk, liquidity, capital and stress testing engagements for leading banking and financial services clients, tackling big issues like cyber, trust, resilience and digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead client work across market risk, liquidity risk, capital management, stress testing and Treasury risk management.
- Oversee reviews of frameworks and controls.
- Shape client recommendations.
- Guide responses to evolving prudential requirements with clear, practical advice.
- Help major banking and financial services organisations make confident decisions about capital adequacy, liquidity management, recovery planning and risk appetite.
- Bring structure to complex problems.
- Develop insights for senior management, Boards and Risk Committees.
- Help clients strengthen resilience while meeting regulatory expectations.
- Work closely with stakeholders across Treasury, Risk, Finance and Audit, building trusted relationships.
- Help teams deliver quality outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
- Support more junior team members, sharing experience and helping shape how work gets done.
Requirements
- Experience leading work across market risk, liquidity risk, capital management, Treasury risk, stress testing, or broader financial risk management.
- Strong experience in a bank, financial institution, regulator, or professional services environment.
- Deep understanding of banking products, financial markets and Treasury.
- Experience in a Treasury, Risk Management, Capital Management, ALM, Market Risk, or Liquidity Risk function.
- Knowledge of prudential regulation and financial risk management frameworks.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and challenge complex risk information.
- Confidence communicating technical concepts and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to manage delivery across a broad mix of risk and advisory engagements.
- The preferred candidate will be subject to background screening by Deloitte or by their external third-party provider.
