About the Role
A multi-discipline engineering firm, established for decades, is seeking a Civil Engineer for their White Plains office to manage and design multi-discipline projects from inception through completion.
Responsibilities
- Design and coordinate work for multi-discipline projects, including due diligence, site feasibility studies, site engineering, regulatory approvals, and full permitting for site development projects.
- Develop site layouts and designs, encompassing site grading, storm drainage, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control.
- Prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
- Perform project administration duties such as report writing, information gathering, proposal and correspondence writing, project cost tracking, and completing progress reports.
- Prepare engineer's opinion of probable cost for designed projects and specifications for public bids.
- Coordinate tasks with other departments, including engineering and architectural.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 12+ years of design experience with a focus on site development projects.
- Possession of a PE License.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices in related technical areas.
- Knowledge of NYSDEC storm water drainage and SWPPP requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Autoturn, Excel, and Photoshop.
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
