About the Role
A multi-discipline consulting firm is seeking a Project Water/Wastewater Engineer for their growing team in Huntington, New York.
Responsibilities
- Perform various engineering tasks including wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment processes
- Lead engineering evaluations
- Prepare design calculations, reports, plans and specifications
- Perform construction administrative tasks including construction phase management activities, coordinate shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and develop construction change orders
- Communicate directly with clients
- Confirm accuracy of plans/specifications
- Perform field activities such as site investigations, witness testing, and milestone construction observation
- Supervise and manage junior staff
- Assist with business development by writing technical proposals and assisting with budgeting
- Lead pursuit of small to moderate size projects
Requirements
- BS in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical)
- 5+ years of work experience in the design and/or design services of water/wastewater
- PE License preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D software
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
