About the Role
Turo is seeking a Data Analyst to join their growing team and turbo-charge Turo’s growth in the US. This role offers the opportunity to work across domains and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong quantitative and analytics skills, is a demonstrated self-starter with an ownership mindset, has excellent communication skills, and can quickly learn new topics.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex data sets to identify opportunities and formulate actionable recommendations.
- Test insights and present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with product teams for rapid execution and iteration based on feedback.
- Lead experimentation, including test design and analysis, to inform product launch decisions.
- Partner with product, data science, and operations leadership to influence product direction for improved user experience and profitability.
- Track business performance and identify business trend shifts for stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc analytical projects aligned with Turo's strategic priorities.
- Establish data specifications, build ETL pipelines, and assess the impact of new product releases and policy changes.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, business intelligence, or strategy consulting.
- Experience in consumer tech, marketplaces, or e-commerce is a strong plus.
- Top-notch quantitative skills and proficiency in detailed data analysis.
- Ability to use metrics to drive business results.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
- Experience with BI & visualization tools (e.g., DOMO, Tableau) is a strong plus.
- Experience transforming data into presentations that effectively communicate insights.
- Comfortable working with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Intellectually curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
- Experience designing and executing A/B tests is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex insights.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work cross-functionally.
- Positive attitude, high integrity, and strong work ethic.
