Responsibilities
- Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately.
- Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing, and employ correct lifting procedures.
- Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc.
- Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions, or report them to management.
- Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
- Complete appropriate safety training and certifications.
- Follow property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations.
- Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
- Protect company tools, equipment, machines, and other assets.
- Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional, and compliant with company policies.
- Address guests’ service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
- Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
- Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move, lift, pull, carry, or push objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and miscellaneous minor repairs.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces.
- Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces in accordance with property procedures.
- Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by manager.
