About the Role
The Relationship Manager develops deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators in the 10M - 200M market space within the South Central Region. This role serves as a strategic partner, offering creative solutions to meet client business goals for retention, growth, and retirement readiness.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities.
- Conduct plan level health reviews.
- Solve complex issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required.
- 4+ years retirement industry experience.
- Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc.
- Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution).
- Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
- Superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
- Must be assertive and entrepreneurial.
- Travel required (25 - 30%), mostly day travel but there will be some overnight travel.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7 required within 5 months of employment.
- FINRA Series 63 required within 5 months of employment.
- Life & Health licenses required within 5 months of employment.
- Must live within the South Central Region (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas).
- No immigration sponsorship is being considered now or in the future.
- Must follow an Investment Code of Ethics.

- $84,600 – $139,700 / year (Relationship Manager II)
