About the Role

As a Commercial Product Manager Lead, you will play a critical role in bringing complex commodities derivatives products and enhancements to market safely, efficiently, and with strong governance. You will own the commercial governance and coordination of the Commodities Derivatives Release Train, integrating information from multiple products, delivery squads, and stakeholders to create a clear view of priorities, risks, controls, and release readiness. You will act as a trusted advisor, identify gaps, manage dependencies, coordinate governance, and help teams navigate approval pathways. This role also offers an opportunity to modernize governance delivery through simplification, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial governance and coordination of the Commodities Derivatives Release Train.
  • Integrate information from multiple products, delivery squads, and stakeholders.
  • Create a clear, integrated view of priorities, risks, controls, and release readiness.
  • Work across Product, Trading, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Ensure decision-makers have the information needed for informed commercial decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and challenge partner.
  • Identify gaps, manage dependencies, and coordinate governance obligations.
  • Help teams navigate complex approval pathways.
  • Lead initiatives to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, and introduce digital, rules-based, and AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Improve transparency, consistency, and speed while maintaining robust risk and control standards.

Requirements

  • Commercially minded leader who can bring structure to complexity.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance business growth with strong governance and risk outcomes.
  • Strong experience in product management, governance, risk, controls, transformation, or change leadership.
  • Ability to bring together information from multiple stakeholders and create a clear, integrated view of priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
  • Experience working within Financial Markets, institutional banking, trading, commodities, treasury, or another complex and highly regulated environment is highly regarded.
  • Candidates from broader product, risk, governance, or transformation backgrounds with strong commercial acumen are also considered.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence across senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide constructive challenge and navigate complex decisions with confidence and professionalism.
  • Solid understanding of governance frameworks, control environments, risk management, and operational readiness.
  • Judgement to identify gaps, escalate issues appropriately, and support balanced commercial decision-making in a regulated environment.
  • Curiosity for emerging technology, automation, and AI.
  • Ability to work effectively alongside technology, data, and engineering teams to design solutions that improve governance and decision-making.
  • Comfortable bridging the gap between business requirements and technology outcomes.
