About the Role
Paramount Skydance is seeking a Principal Engineer, Production Systems to join a team that designs, installs, and debugs Broadcast Production systems, including Audio, Video, Control, and IT. This role is critical for crafting and supporting everything needed to produce shows at their broadcast center.
Responsibilities
- Design and support in-house video, audio, and control systems.
- Support the maintenance department for problem-solving and repair of systems.
- Maintain network and system documentation.
- Conform to CBS security policies, initiatives, and compliance reporting.
- Supervise project aspects related to wiring technicians.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast systems, including compressed and uncompressed audio/video formats, SMPTE 2110 IP design and implementation, and production control systems for live and non-live shows.
- Basic knowledge of networking, subnetting, and VLAN implementation.
- Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and Vizio.
- Deep technical knowledge of current broadcast systems software, protocols, and standards.
- Proven knowledge of network administration.
- Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
