About the Role
The Ambassador provides best-in-class customer assistance with a proactive approach to customer experience and safety within Toronto Parking Authority facilities. Responsibilities include assisting customers with equipment, inspecting facilities for safety, conducting EV charger inspections, liaising with security, performing light cleaning and maintenance, and maintaining facility cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time assistance and support to customers experiencing difficulties with access, egress and/or pay equipment.
- Act as the face of TPA, delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Provide increased visibility and presence, actively inspecting main customer access/egress points.
- Enable rapid risk reporting and response timeline, ensuring safety risks are mitigated in a timely manner.
- Conduct physical inspections of EV charging stations.
- Liaise with security and police, as needed.
- Perform light cleaning of gate equipment, address and repair ticket jams, replenish ticket stock, and perform other basic care and maintenance items.
- Maintain cleanliness of booths and offices, including cleaning windows, counters, floors, equipment, and high touchpoints.
- Clean washroom facilities, including sweeping and mopping, walls, fixtures, mirrors, and high touch points.
- Clean lunchrooms, storage rooms, and tub rooms, performing tasks including sweeping, mopping, cleaning walls, fixtures, appliances, tables, desks, cabinets, and sinks.
- Perform light cleaning of the garage, including bag and broom duties, mopping, minor graffiti removal, and light cleaning of EV chargers and stalls.
- Adhere to Payment Card Industry compliance.
Requirements
- Completion of grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience dealing with the public; must be courteous and tactful.
- Ability to cope with inclement weather conditions.
- Good attendance record.
