About the Role
The Office Manager will organize, monitor, and control the business operations of a Physician Medical Practice, providing overall administration and coordination of department activities. This includes managing Finance, Administration, Compliance, Revenue Cycle, Technical/IT, and Human Resources functions in an ambulatory setting, and maintaining PCMH accreditation standards if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide a positive patient experience by ensuring timely appointments, easy access to information, and clear communication with providers.
- Improve workflow efficiency by utilizing technology and optimizing team-based patient care sharing.
- Communicate operational updates, policies, and procedures to physicians and staff.
- Assign staff tasks to ensure prompt answering, screening, and accurate message recording for medical practice calls.
- Serve as the HIPAA Privacy Officer, ensuring staff complete Healthstream training and reporting privacy breaches.
- Achieve EPIC Super User status.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on staff interviewing and selection for the Medical Practice.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation scheduling.
- Continuously communicate HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of administrative/clinic management experience.
- Competence in applying general operational and personnel practices.
- Competence in accounting/budgeting principles.
- Competence in coordinating clinic administrative functions.
Experience Level
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of degree
Education Level
- High school diploma or GED with concentration in Secretarial Science
- Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Salary/Compensations
- USD $56,745.00 - USD $115,500.00 /Yr.
