About the Role

Manage the delivery of subcontracts and trade packages, and provide construction contract change management services for infrastructure construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure contractor and subs comply with contract requirements, including notice provisions, documentation, insurance/bonds, reporting, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Track potential changes, review supporting documentation, assist in pricing or validation, maintain change logs, and manage change order approvals.
  • Assist in preparing and administering subcontracts, amendments, purchase orders, task orders, and closeouts.
  • Review subcontractor pay applications and supporting documentation to ensure payments align with contract terms and completed work.
  • Track RFIs, delays, differing site conditions, owner-directed changes, and other potential claims, ensuring timely issuance of required notices.
  • Maintain the contractual record, including correspondence, logs, commitments, change documentation, forecasts, and cost information.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, cost teams, schedulers, estimators, and legal/contracts staff.
  • Provide construction contract change management and contract administration for CM/GC project delivery.
  • Support the resident engineer in administering contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage the contract change process, including monitoring and tracking changes and claims resolution.
  • Coordinate with the resident engineer and Project Engineer on change request identification for change orders.
  • Manage the preparation of change orders, including preparing records of negotiations and maintaining contract files.
  • Review contractor payment applications and correspondence for compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Review and respond to RFIs seeking clarification of contractual requirements.
  • Assist the resident engineer in project closeout activities to ensure all administrative and contractual requirements are met.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience providing construction contract change management services for infrastructure construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience providing construction contract change management and contract administration services within the last 15 years for at least two single, completed, and verifiable infrastructure construction projects valued at $25 million or more.
  • 3+ years of recent experience using CM software systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Hetch Hetchy.
