About the Role

AKA NYC is seeking an Account Manager to join their Client Services team. This role will collaborate with various departments to provide strategy and planning across multiple accounts, ensuring excellent client service and campaign delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Directors and account leads in delivering excellent client service.
  • Respond promptly to client requests and manage client expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and external partners.
  • Translate client briefs into clear plans for internal teams.
  • Manage project timelines, track progress, and deliver campaigns from planning through completion.
  • Partner with Creative Studio and other teams to develop campaign plans, improve workflows, and resolve challenges.
  • Prepare for and lead effective client meetings.
  • Support campaign strategy and planning, including media strategy.
  • Complete weekly billing, coordinate project estimates and invoicing.
  • Support Account Directors or account leads in managing budgets.
  • Help train and coach Account Coordinators.
  • Anticipate peak periods and potential workflow issues, managing up to Account Directors with recommendations and solutions.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a client account executive, account coordinator, or related role.
  • Experience in arts, culture, entertainment, and theater is a plus.
  • Strong client relationship and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and move work forward.
  • Proactive, resourceful approach and sound judgment when solving problems or anticipating client needs.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; proven record for being a self-starter, proactive, and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to contribute to campaign strategy and work effectively with creative, media, and other specialist teams.
  • Understanding of project budgets and financial goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with Asana is a plus.
