About the Role
Build the attribution systems that connect ad interactions with real customer outcomes, processing over 50 billion events daily to power experiences across Amazon Ads and help advertisers understand campaign value. This role is crucial for optimizing advertising budgets at a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver software for measurement data consumed across Amazon's advertising suite (display, search, native, video).
- Build and maintain petabyte-scale data pipelines and services using Spark, EMR, Apache Iceberg, and Java.
- Address complex attribution challenges, adapting to evolving technical requirements, privacy landscapes, and shifting priorities.
- Collaborate with applied scientists, economists, product managers, and engineers to create scalable production systems.
- Apply architectural approaches and design patterns for maintainable, scalable, and well-tested solutions in a high-throughput environment.
- Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, identify trade-offs, and propose solutions balancing performance, cost, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 2+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
