About the Role
The Event Technology Technician will provide audiovisual support for corporate meetings, training sessions, conferences, social events, and expo halls. This role involves setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting multimedia equipment, with a focus on daily setup and breakdown for events.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment as per the daily event schedule.
- Respond promptly to service needs, ensuring exceptional guest service.
- Monitor events and check in with clients throughout the day.
- Collaborate with sales and other teams for seamless event execution.
- Maintain positive client and hotel staff relationships through effective communication.
- Upsell services and provide superior solutions as an extension of the sales team.
- Make immediate decisions to resolve issues without causing downtime.
- Utilize cutting-edge Event Technology conferencing equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of audiovisual equipment, reporting out-of-service items.
- Identify continuous improvement processes for guest experience as part of the leadership team.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in audio visual technology.
- Extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art Event Technology for large-scale events, including signal flow, industry terminology, hotel systems, and integration of house systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual systems (sound, projectors, lighting, video).
- Proficiency in Event Technology software for presentations, recordings, and streaming.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
