About the Role
Liberty Moving & Storage in Commack, NY is seeking a full-time Facility Carpenter to maintain, improve, and build across our facilities and project sites, ensuring properties remain functional, safe, and professional.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve company facilities.
- Support projects at customer job sites.
- Build and repair walls, doors, shelving, cabinets, and fixtures.
- Complete drywall, flooring, painting, and finishing work.
- Inspect work areas and identify needed repairs.
- Accurately measure and install materials.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Coordinate material pickups.
- Ensure work is completed according to company procedures and safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Prior professional carpentry, construction, or facility maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, measurements, and installation methods.
- Ability to read measurements and complete projects accurately.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work the assigned schedule.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry materials, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and remain physically active throughout the workday.
