About the Role
Snap Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Security Technical Program Manager to join the Security Programs and Compliance Engineering (SPACE) Team. This role is crucial for establishing a mature, enterprise-wide cybersecurity framework to protect users, employees, and partners. The position will drive security metrics, governance, operating cadence, cross-functional execution, and leadership accountability for security maturity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, and ongoing operation of security operations and risk programs to improve cyber maturity across core security foundations.
- Define and operationalize security KRIs, KPIs, and health metrics across key domains like vulnerability management, incident response, and control performance.
- Establish a consistent measurement framework, dashboarding model, and reporting taxonomy for security leaders.
- Prepare and present regular business reviews for security leadership, translating technical signals into clear risk narratives and decisions.
- Build the operating cadence for security team leadership, including program reviews, metric reviews, and planning rhythms.
- Establish a common organizational framework for security team OKRs, including goal setting and milestone tracking.
- Partner across Security, Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to align program priorities and resolve blockers.
- Drive root-cause analysis and remediation governance for significant operational issues.
- Create and maintain a portfolio view of security initiatives, risks, dependencies, and commitments.
- Define standard methods for risk intake, issue tracking, exception handling, and escalation thresholds.
- Improve the rigor of security operations by identifying opportunities for workflow simplification, automation, and better decision support.
- Develop executive-ready briefing materials, scorecards, and narratives to communicate program status and risks.
- Monitor program performance and recommend changes to operating models, metrics, and review mechanisms.
Requirements
- Depth of security experience and familiarity with a broad range of information security concepts and principles.
- Proven experience running critical programs within a security field.
- Experience working with engineers, driving large security projects with proven impact.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with mastery in tailoring messages to the audience.
- Experience influencing teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive security programs.
- Proficiency in, or strong aptitude for, leveraging AI tools to streamline development.
- Critical judgment to audit AI-generated output for architectural integrity, performance bottlenecks, and security risks.
- Adaptability in learning and applying evolving AI systems and tools.
- 6+ years of experience in security advisory space, technical program management, or security solution delivery.

- Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $190,000-$284,000 annually
- Zone B: $181,000-$270,000 annually
- Zone C: $162,000-$241,000 annually
