About the Role
CCC is seeking a Principal Product Manager for its Outbound Subrogation product, a critical and underserved area within the insurance economy. This role offers the unique opportunity to modernize subrogation processes using AI, with significant potential for impact. The position involves defining product strategy, owning the roadmap, collaborating on architecture, and serving as the subject matter expert. It begins as an individual contributor role with a clear path for team growth as the product scales.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product roadmap for Outbound Subrogation user experience, including prioritization of features, data capabilities, AI enhancements, and integrations.
- Translate market signals, customer research, and competitive intelligence into a clear, defensible strategy.
- Set and track key metrics for carriers, such as dollars recovered, identification rate, and cycle time.
- Partner with data science and engineering on architecture, next-best-action, workflow design, and LLM deployment.
- Conduct customer research with recovery managers, subrogation adjusters, and carrier teams to inform product decisions.
- Represent the voice of the user in internal product and prioritization discussions.
- Contribute directly to working software alongside engineers, utilizing AI coding tools.
- Build and own the ROI case for the product, defining and tracking carrier value.
- Partner with sales, customer success, and product marketing on go-to-market execution and enablement.
- Support active sales cycles as the product expert, articulating value to buyer stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management experience in enterprise software or high-growth SaaS.
- At least one 0-to-1 product build or major relaunch in a startup or high-velocity environment.
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping AI-driven or data-intensive products with LLMs, scoring models, or ML pipelines.
- Track record of working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders to validate product direction, plan adoption, and support commercial outcomes.
- Deep experience in at least one complex, regulated vertical (insurance, fintech, healthtech, legaltech, or similar).
- Comfort operating in ambiguity with a bias toward action and learning.
