About the Role
First Citizens Bank is undergoing a digital transformation to modernize its banking platform. This role is an opportunity to join a CIAM and Fraud delivery team, providing technology solutions and integration services for Commercial and Personal and Business Banking Digital Platforms. The ideal candidate will offer technical guidance, estimate efforts, select optimal technology solutions, provide application support, navigate unknowns, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. This role requires rapid execution, strategic thinking, code development, and oversight of distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support CIAM and Fraud solutions/projects.
- Oversee all software aspects including research, design, technology insertion, development, and testing.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions.
- Lead and support proactive maintenance of IaaS, SaaS, and on-premises applications.
- Coordinate and assist with troubleshooting and resolution of application issues.
- Exercise sound technical judgment to evaluate options and manage ambiguity.
- Champion engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop clean, maintainable, well-documented, and secure software solutions.
- Foster a collaborative team environment through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
- 8+ years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
- Experience in banking or regulated financial services.
- Strong design & development experience with Enterprise Technologies: Java, JMS, JDBC, Web development, Transactions, WS-*, JVM, JSP, Servlets, EJB, JNDI, JMX, JTA, Spring, JUnit, Hibernate, Python.
- Understanding of fraud prevention, risk-based authentication, and secure digital journeys.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML.
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Okta CIAM preferred.
