About the Role

This position is responsible for developing, training, and leading a team of Collateral Risk Analysts. The primary focus will be on managing the day-to-day workflow of the Billing and Collateral aging audit teams, providing excellent client service, and implementing process improvements to minimize exceptions, fraud, or loss. The role involves performing quarterly reviews for direct reports, developing departmental policies and procedures, and focusing on risk mitigation through an understanding of credit, billing, cash collections, and general factoring, while also assisting the team with their daily duties.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and completes Billing department transactions and functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to policy.
  • Monitors team performance to ensure targets are met and executed improvements achieve desired results.
  • Monitors the work queue for the billing team to ensure timely completion of billing setups, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements strategies to reduce the risk of loss in deteriorating client situations.
  • Creates standard policies and procedures for the department to reduce risk and improve client experience.
  • Suggests new billing procedures through VMS or non-standard billing debtors to minimize cash exceptions.
  • Participates in weekly Credit and Debtor meetings for assigned relationships to coordinate and discuss potential escalating issues.
  • Assists Sr. Collateral Risk Analysts in reviewing new billing requests to ensure appropriate debtor setup in systems at the time of funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting related - Preferred
  • Master's Degree in MBA/CPA - Preferred
  • 5 years of experience in banking/finance/accounting environment with emphasis on commercial credit.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
  • Candidates for this role may not be located in CA.
