About the Role
The Data Enablement Operations Analyst will be part of the data enablement practice, working closely with the Enablement Principal to execute the strategy for how departments adopt and use the platform. This role involves sitting with analysts in partner departments, understanding their workflows, assisting them with the platform, and relaying learnings back to the team. The goal is to automate repetitive workflows to allow the team to focus on supporting departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage intake for the enablement practice, including triaging requests, updating departments on status, and ensuring clear ownership.
- Onboard departments to the Unified Data Platform (UDP), from initial contact to active use, coordinating agreements, processing access, leading kickoff meetings, and supporting analysts during their initial weeks.
- Support governance processes by coordinating data-sharing agreements and maintaining accurate citywide dataset and enterprise system inventories.
- Develop self-service guides and documentation to address frequent user questions.
- Coordinate the training program by scheduling cohorts, tracking attendance, and collecting feedback for program improvement.
- Identify and automate manual, repetitive operational steps to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- An associate degree in business administration, public administration, information systems, economics, finance, computer science, UX/UI design, or a closely related field, OR at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in a related field.
- One (1) year of experience in the information systems field, including technical support, content management, administration of network applications, system analysis, or service design.
- One year of additional experience may substitute for the required degree.
- Completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may substitute for the required degree.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualification requirements by the final filing date.
Skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Proactive follow-up habits
- Ability to quickly learn new tools
- Ability to identify and share process improvements
- Familiarity with workflow and collaboration tools such as Asana, Airtable, or SharePoint
- Comfort with low-code or automation tools
- Coding experience is a plus
- Experience working in or with government organizations is helpful
