About the Role
KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern, Strategy Technology for their Advisory practice. This role involves assessing IT opportunities and risks, evaluating IT performance, and facilitating IT integration for clients.
Responsibilities
- Assess and quantify IT-related opportunities and risks, develop an action plan, and communicate due diligence results in a non-technical fashion related to deal advisory integration and separation.
- Evaluate IT-related performance of companies and develop plans for improvement and expense reduction.
- Facilitate the integration of IT operations and organizations resulting from a roll-up and/or complete separation from a parent organization.
- Complete wide-ranging offshoring of high labor activities, provide renegotiation support of key IT vendor contracts, and identify improvement opportunities for IT governance and project selection.
- Work with cross-functional teams in implementing solutions.
- Participate in the development and presentation of final project deliverables.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Understanding or experience with enterprise software systems, IT architecture and infrastructure, or IT operations.
- Ability to prioritize and organize diverse material.
- Strong technical and business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills.
- Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes with a professional demeanor and collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (Excel emphasis), and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism.
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity.
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the office and be responsible for own transportation.
- Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need.
- Must be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
- Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
