About the Role
The Prevention Educator Team Leader position assists the Anew Center Program Director in providing prevention education and direct services related to sexual assault, rape, and domestic violence throughout Chautauqua County.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver prevention education programs to students in schools and universities.
- Coordinate community education programs to raise awareness of rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
- Attend outreach and speaking engagements.
- Track training hours for DOH files and compile DOH reports.
- Serve as a representative for Coalition activities and coordinate Salvation Army activities.
- Maintain accurate records and submit reports to required agencies and funders.
- Collaborate with DSS, hospitals, law enforcement, and other human service agencies.
- Participate in the Response Team Schedule, including shelter coverage and crisis situations.
- Provide crisis intervention, accompaniment, and advocacy services.
- Comply with all fire and safety procedures.
- Act as a mandated reporter for suspected child abuse/neglect.
- Meet regularly with the Program Director to ensure quality services.
- Attend inter-agency, coalition, and community meetings.
- Provide Domestic Violence, Rape Crisis, and Human Trafficking trainings.
- Ensure all DV employees are up-to-date on required training.
- Responsible for fundraising and awareness for all DV programs.
Requirements
- Must satisfactorily complete sexual assault training to be a certified rape crisis counselor.
- Must attend a minimum of 10 additional training hours per year.
- Must possess computer/typing skills for statistics, case files, and email.
- Able to drive a 12-passenger vehicle.
