About the Role
The Technical Account Manager provides technical services to assigned Beauty and Personal Care customers to drive sales growth. This role differentiates Univar Solutions from competitors through a consultative approach focused on customer needs and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop effective customer relationships and actively seek new product opportunities.
- Prepare and present technical presentations on cosmetic formulations for customer R&D departments.
- Provide technical support to customer R&D teams.
- Conduct customer visits for high-potential projects and establish technical trust.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including samples, trials, proposals, and visits.
- Proactively develop new business perspectives and monitor competitor activities.
- Represent suppliers and ensure effective market information exchange with key trading partners, adhering to compliance standards.
- Continuously monitor the market for technological innovations, regulatory updates, and legislative requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM system and generate targeted business opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the Beauty and Personal Care industry with specialized product expertise.
- Experience collaborating with customers, supplier partners, and internal stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Proficient in computer tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and strong follow-up capabilities.
- Professionalism, integrity, and impeccable business ethics.
- Ability to understand market issues and align business activities with company objectives.
- Strong business development and multi-priority management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Availability for regular travel.
- Fluency in both spoken and written French and English.
