About the Role
Restaurant Associates is seeking a Senior Cook to prepare nutritious and properly flavored food in accordance with company and regulatory standards. This role is crucial for maintaining dining and event catering services for prestigious clients.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned.
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
- Operate and clean equipment after each use, and perform scheduled routine cleaning.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy.
- Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing required documentation.
- Assist in the cross-training of employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous high-volume food production experience is required.
- Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to: use of medium weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer; use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans; use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
