About the Role
JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) is seeking inspired individuals to join their high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work for innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of this team, you'll work on advanced construction projects across the country, growing your career alongside industry professionals.
Responsibilities
- Learn and actively participate in the company’s safety and quality plans and culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
- Participate with project QA/QC planning to ensure quality for assigned tasks.
- Learn and participate in the estimating and change management process and tools.
- Support the project team by monitoring crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity, and equipment.
- Participate in activities such as punch lists, city inspections, safety reviews, and quality reviews.
- Post drawings and specifications with the most recent information.
- Organize and participate in project meetings, preparing and disseminating required documentation.
- Prepare a variety of reports including daily reports, weekly progress reports, and production schedules.
- Perform periodic job site observations with project leadership.
- Create procurement logs based on project schedule and specification requirements.
- Track shop drawings and follow up with deliveries.
- Provide progress updates to support the scheduling process.
- Support project close-out activities, including punch lists and operations and maintenance manuals.
- Utilize company best practice standards and fundamentals for building and construction techniques.
- Build relationships and develop communication skills with tradespeople and project team members.
- Develop an understanding of various company functions and support roles.
- Collaborate and demonstrate teamwork in a project setting.
- Learn and incorporate Lean practices into regular activities.
- Learn about best practices for identifying, developing, and integrating self-perform opportunities.
Requirements
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
- Communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.
- Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy.
- Knowledge of required construction technology.
- Ability to apply fundamentals of construction management means and methods.
- Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity.
- Ability to assess and optimize project productivity.
- Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
- May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
- Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling.
- Occasional activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen.
