Responsibilities
- Sample raw materials
- Unload trucks
- Store raw material in racking systems
- Receive in and label raw materials
- Process incoming materials, including verifying counts, receiving material, labeling material and sampling material, making them available to use in production
- Work with PIT equipment to ensure inventory is stored accurately and safely in racking systems
- Use computer systems and handheld scanning devices to accurately ensure material is displayed correctly in our ERP system
- Participate in safety, quality, and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one year of general warehouse experience
- One to two years’ experience working with computers and basic software packages, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Experience with powered industrial trucks
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus required
- Ability to work in a cold room environment
- Regularly required to lift up to 20 pounds
- May be required to lift weight of 45 pounds or more, with assistance and/or with equipment on occasion
Skills
- Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus
- Maintain knowledge of current import/export regulations as they relate to shipment of goods to and from the USA
- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively
- Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds

- Competitive Hourly Pay Rate
- Additional shift differential for 2nd shift and 3rd shift positions
- Annual performance-based bonus
- Annual merit performance-based increase
- The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.41–$21.61
- This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy
