About the Role
As a Security Operations Center Specialist on the Asset Protection team, you will coordinate responses to situations impacting the business, monitor critical system alarms, and manage daily tasks and calls. This role involves making critical decisions on the spot to manage events with care and respect in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the response for a variety of people safety situations and events that impact our business
- Detect and communicate threats to the company and its employees, including extreme weather conditions, political instability, crime, terror, and infrastructure failures
- Analyze critical event data to determine the cause and trends, and recommend corrective action
- Solve problems on the fly by thinking through situations, asking pertinent questions, soliciting factual information, and eliminating misinformation and ambiguity
- Provide clear, calm, and concise direction in time-sensitive and complex situations
- Anticipate collateral issues in an event and take appropriate steps to mitigate them or notify others
- Provide support for security operations, crisis response, and business continuity functions
- Prioritize incoming workload while focusing on people safety and security
- Build relationships with key vendors, store, and facility maintenance teams to provide customer service
Requirements
- 2 or more years of related work experience
- Ability to problem solve, make accurate/timely decisions, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- System aptitude; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new computer-based applications
- Strong written, verbal communication and listening skills
- Experience clarifying information in a friendly manner while maintaining composure in stressful situations
- Experience handling complex, time-sensitive situations
- Must be 18 years or older
