About the Role

The Associate Designer, Women’s Function will deliver original bra, underwear, and shapewear concepts with a focus on in-season development. You will create comfortable and stylish designs that enhance the natural shape, confidence, and comfort of women, aligning with Calvin Klein design aesthetics, using technologically advanced construction and materials. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, research, and design skills will be used to develop styles that align with the brand's vision, market trends, and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of trend-right, saleable product to drive sales for bras, underwear, and shapewear.
  • Participate in fittings from first prototypes through design intent, ensuring design aesthetic and overall garment quality.
  • Research the market for competitor intelligence and trend forecasting.
  • Work with sourcing and technical teams to execute high-quality product within the calendar timeline.
  • Create and maintain tech packs, including updates during fit sessions and for cost purposes.
  • Prepare development tech packages and maintain BOMs, including material, color, graphic, and internal branding information.
  • Follow up on pre-production details: color, fabric, and trim; to ensure consistent high quality.
  • Ensure calendar deadline adherence.

Requirements

  • 5 years of related underwear design experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Must be technically skilled and capable to make all aesthetic comments during fit sessions.
  • Centric / PLM experience – create and maintain design packages for seasonal and carryover product.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat.
  • Able to design and handle multiple seasons at one time.
  • Maintain consistent high quality of product from season to season, vendor to vendor.
  • Flexible in design approach to meet sales needs while still providing newness to products.
  • Willing to make changes as needed to meet evolving business needs.
  • Must be very organized and detailed to effectively follow up on preproduction approvals.
  • Highly creative in design to provide newness.
  • Willing to work late to meet design deadlines.
  • Travel as needed for product development.
