About the Role

Grace Church School seeks committed coaches to develop, plan, and implement its growing sports curriculum. Coaches will instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, while fostering integrity, sportsmanship, and teamwork. This is a part-time position with an hourly rate between $55-70.

Responsibilities

Break down and teach the fundamental skills to players at all levels
Attend all scheduled games and practices
Manage and coordinate practice and game plans
Be responsible for handling all administrative duties related to their team
Attend all necessary athletic and school meetings and events
Support the head coach in promoting the mission of the program
Contribute to and run practice sessions
Help maintain and manage equipment

Requirements

Relevant coaching experience
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well with student-athletes, parents, faculty/staff, and the athletics department
Current First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to get training before the season commences
Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport, with special consideration given to those having experience with the desired age category
Enthusiasm, commitment, patience, and a passion for teaching the game are essential
Ability to motivate and provide positive leadership to our student-athletes by following our school and athletic mission
College playing experience (preferred)
Availability from 2:30 - 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, from November 5th to February 26th
