About the Role
Liberty Resources is seeking a motivated Mobile Crisis Mental Health Clinician (Licensed Responder) in Onondaga County to join their dynamic and growing human services agency. The Mobile Crisis Team provides crisis intervention services in various community settings, aiming to divert unnecessary hospitalizations and arrests, engage individuals in services, and promote stabilization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine the need for further evaluation.
- Provide psychotherapy and psychosocial rehabilitation counseling services to remediate psychiatric or substance use symptoms, resolve conflict, deescalate crises, monitor for and address high-risk behaviors, maintain stabilization following a crisis episode, and prevent escalation of behavioral health symptoms.
- Make treatment recommendations and referrals to other behavioral health services as clinically indicated.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in line with agency and program standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Requirements
- Licensed or permitted in New York State as one of the following: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Licensed Behavioral Analyst, Physician, including Psychiatrist and Addictionologist/Addiction Specialist, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Occupational Therapist who meets the qualifications set forth in 42 C.F.R. 440.110(b)(2).
- Two (2) years of post-graduate mental health experience, including relevant experience providing crisis intervention support, transitional support, and care coordination.
- Must demonstrate competence in de-escalation and aggression management.
- Must be willing to participate in all required federal, state, county and agency training including Narcan administration, evidence-based assessments, person-centered and trauma-informed approaches.

Salary/Compensations
- $32.15 per on-call shift
- $100 per on-call shift on an agency observed holiday
- $100 for 1-90 minutes of Mobile Crisis Response
- $150 for 91-180 minutes of Mobile Crisis Response
- $200 for 181+ minutes of Mobile Crisis Response
- $50 for 1-90 minutes of In-Person Follow Up
- $75 for 91-180 minutes of In-Person Follow Up
- $100 for 181+ minutes of In-Person Follow Up
