About the Role
As a Banquet Cook at The Boulevard Club, you will support the Club’s culinary operations and deliver an exceptional dining experience to Members and guests. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items for banquets, private events, and Club events according to established recipes, event specifications, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook banquet menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Complete daily mise en place and production based on banquet requirements.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, portioning, and timely service.
- Support banquet execution and assist with food service during peak periods.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked kitchen stations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, storage, temperature, and FIFO procedures.
- Receive and properly store food deliveries and assist with inventory control.
- Minimize food waste and perform other culinary duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-secondary culinary education or equivalent training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional culinary environment.
- Previous banquet, catering, or high-volume cooking experience preferred.
- Valid Food Handler Certification required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team.
