About the Role
Partner with Syska Hennessy Group, a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services for highly technical buildings. This role is responsible for maintaining project efficiency and quality while managing client relationships and project financials.
Responsibilities
- Manage the function of projects, taking ownership of client and firm goals.
- Oversee contract management, client expectations, schedule control, and financial optimization (billing and collections).
- Ensure optimal project information flow internally and externally.
- Collaborate with trade-specific project engineers for coordinated product delivery.
- Develop staff skills, including project management.
- Deliver project schedule and budget.
- Establish project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure QC processes are in practice.
- Participate in QA/QC of completed work by staff.
- Communicate regularly with Client Leader and project managers of other services.
- Maintain project efficiency.
- Maintain client satisfaction, externally and internally.
- Assume responsible charge for the overall economic wellbeing of assigned projects.
- Conduct business development activities.
- Conduct due diligence reports compliant with group and company standards.
- Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
- Design large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide high-level technical leadership.
- Network within SHG and externally.
- Perform “Engineer of Record” duties for projects.
- Perform calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.
- Perform staff resource management and review.
- Produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards.
- Provide consulting engineering services, including due diligence, gap analyses, and feasibility reports.
- Pursue continuing education.
- Represent Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
- Take responsible charge for the project for his/her discipline, addressing any E & O issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical discipline.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in the MEP industry.
- PE is required.
- Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience is required.

- New York Pay Range $121,862—$185,793 USD
- California Pay range $121,862—$175,793 USD
- Chicago Pay Range $115,448—$168,173 USD
- Boston Pay Range $121,862—$175,793 USD
- Washington DC pay range $121,862—$175,793 USD
