About the Role

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the global infrastructure that keeps the cloud running, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling. This role involves leading a team of electrical engineers to develop and deploy next-generation electrical infrastructure for AWS data centers, focusing on innovative solutions for liquid-cooled racks.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative, high-performance teams of technical associates under challenging timelines
• Demonstrate strong engineering judgment and provide recommendations despite uncertainty
• Apply data-driven and detail-oriented approaches to problem-solving
• Utilize extensive experience and knowledge in electrical engineering and product development
• Collaborate with global electrical equipment suppliers and manufacturers on new technology development and initiatives
• Build trust and develop relationships with different stakeholders
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographic zones
• Communicate complex systems in clear and concise language
• Support operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review for electrical issues
• Incorporate customer feedback to improve product reliability and availability
• Contribute to our global knowledge base and drive continuous improvement at scale

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or experience working in electrical engineering field
• 7+ years in data center design and product development/electrical/related product development
• 5+ years managing teams of 40+ high performing associates with a proven track record of success and growth
• Experience leading product design of electrical products
• Extensive understanding of electrical infrastructure solutions in data centers
• Knowledge of how products should be manufactured to ensure quality
• Ability to lead a team in developing detailed electrical equipment specifications
• Ability to evaluate the merit and risks of design changes
