About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Provide professional customer service and clear communication to visitors and staff while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government social-services facilities while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, helping to deter unauthorized access, prohibited activity, and potential policy violations.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
