About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism and clear communication. Contribute to a welcoming, orderly environment while delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government homelessness services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; communicate professionally and direct individuals to appropriate areas or resources.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, entry points, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and promptly communicate observations, hazards, and policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
