About the Role
As an Unarmed Security Guard supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a caring, professional environment through routine patrols, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and resident activity, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or maintenance concerns to site management and/or appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
