About the Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld’s industrial disposal process.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
- Investigate breakdowns and line stoppages using root-cause analysis, collaborating with various teams.
- Prioritize work for timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program.
- Utilize the maintenance documentation program to open and close work orders and check out spare parts.
- Repair and maintain industrial production or processing machinery and equipment.
- Inspect, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as necessary.
- Observe and evaluate machinery operation to diagnose malfunctions.
- Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
