Responsibilities
- Perform patient screening procedures, including assessment of oral health conditions, reviewing health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting, and taking blood pressure and pulse.
- Remove calculus and plaque from all tooth surfaces.
- Apply preventive materials to teeth, such as sealants and fluorides.
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies, including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
- Counsel patients on good nutrition and its impact on oral health.
- Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess a strong commitment to patient care, patient health, and quality work.
- State certification/license as required to work as a Dental Hygienist.
- One year or more of relevant experience in the dental industry preferred, but open to candidates with no experience.
