About the Role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison, Neuroimmunology for the NYC/NJ region. This role focuses on providing scientific information to healthcare professionals and internal partners, acting as a knowledge lead for products within the Therapeutic Area. The position involves building external relationships, developing territory strategic plans, and supporting research initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to opinion leaders (OLs), health care professionals, and internal partners.
Serve as an established scientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products per Therapeutic Area (TA) alignment.
Stay abreast of current scientific and treatment trends in therapeutic areas of interest.
Provide research support for company and investigator-initiated research.
Build external relationships with identified KOLs and health care providers (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D., bio coordinators).
Develop and manage geographical territory, including virtual and in-person engagements.
Develop and maintain a territory strategic plan, including educational activities with identified OLs, HCPs, institutions, and community practices.
Possess foundational competencies in Influence & Results Focused, Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, Product & Therapeutic Area Knowledge, and Data Insights & Dissemination.
Rapidly identify and compliantly collaborate with field-based partners to ensure support of Healthcare Providers.
Enhance skills in agility, applying competencies of Change Management, Time Management and Innovation.
Conduct all activities in accordance with current regulatory and health care compliance guidelines.
Travel primarily throughout assigned geography, with infrequent meeting travel outside of assigned geography (estimated at 60%).
Consistently demonstrate strategic territory planning and ability to build strong relationships within the territory.
Consistently demonstrate strong scientific acumen.
Continuously support Department Operations and Internal Partners.

Requirements

A PharmD, PhD, MD, NP or PA with 2+ years relevant neurology, immunology and/or neuromuscular experience.
2-4 years MSL experience, and/or 2-3 years relevant work experience (clinical or research experience) and/or related pharma work.
Requires travel of approximately 60% depending on geography, includes overnight and weekends as needed.
A valid driver’s license.
Launch experience in rare disease (Preferred).
Significant experience giving presentations (Preferred).

Salary/Compensations

$137,000.00 - $235,750.00

Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year (varies by state).
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year.

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child.
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year.
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period.
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year.
Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year.
