About the Role

Choice Properties is seeking a Senior Human Resource (HR) Coordinator for an 18-month contract. This role will support the HR team by coordinating and executing various HR activities and projects, including company-wide HR programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for colleague questions and concerns.
  • Coordinate and support key annual HR processes such as Performance and Compensation and the Engagement Survey.
  • Manage HRIS (Workday) for accurate data and promote best practices.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Provide guidance on employment-related issues, including policy interpretation, recruitment, training, development, and benefits administration.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of HR programs, initiatives, and technology.
  • Generate people metrics (headcount, turnover, etc.) to inform HR strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for internal compliance audits.
  • Resolve sensitive colleague issues, conduct research, and escalate to HR Business Partners when necessary.
  • Provide logistical support for HR programs and events, including training sessions and meetings.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing federal and provincial HR requirements.
  • Coordinate leave of absence and accommodation requests.
  • Address payroll inquiries.
  • Assist with research, analysis, and implementation of HR programs, reports, and projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Currently pursuing or holding an HR Management Certification.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience coordinating departmental programs and initiatives is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
  • Ability to interact with all organizational levels.
  • High integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service with a sense of urgency.
  • Highly motivated self-starter requiring minimal direction.

Salary/Compensations

  • $66,360.00 - $102,900.00 per year
