About the Role
We are seeking a talented and adaptable Python Developer to join our development team, contributing to high-impact digital products used by over 30 million people monthly. This role involves building and scaling APIs, web services, and internal systems that power Global Player, radio websites, and connected platforms. It is a hands-on position for individuals passionate about clean code, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Work on web services that drive Global Player and public-facing radio websites.
- Develop a suite of digital products attracting over 30 million unique visitors monthly.
- Build APIs and tools for mobile apps and devices like Alexa and Google Home.
- Create internal editorial and content systems for public-facing products.
Requirements
- Proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Multi-skilled developer comfortable stepping out of comfort zone and learning new technologies.
- Strong commercial development experience using Python.
- Strong grasp of OOP fundamentals and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with VCS, preferably Git.
- Experience working in a sociable, cross-functional team.
- Dedication to testing, including writing and maintaining unit tests, mocking frameworks, and enthusiasm for test-driven development.
- Experience working with relational database systems and ORM frameworks.
- Understanding the importance of Continuous Integration.
