About the Role

Warranty and Repairs will be the point person for managing warranty repairs for aircraft components, ensuring cost recovery from manufacturers and maintaining supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Create repair orders for defective aircraft parts and components, outlining the specific issue, warranty details, and required repairs.
  • Process warranty claims for purchase and repair of aircraft parts and tooling.
  • Review warranty agreements and technical documents, including Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, to identify warranty coverage.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, repair facilities, and internal departments to track repair progress, expedite overdue repairs, and reconcile invoicing issues.
  • Analyze repair quotes ensuring compliance with warranty terms and identifying any discrepancies.
  • Manage the return of unserviceable components for our exchange program.
  • Issue return orders for components designated for exchange.
  • Advise the purchasing group of required exchanges needed for stock replenishment based on warranty returns.
  • Work with all internal stakeholders to ensure contractual commitments are met.
  • Maintain records and files according to the company’s policy, including vendor audit forms.
  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warranty administration, preferably within the aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of warranty principles and contractual agreements.
  • Previous experience in a technical repair role within aviation is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with AMOS an asset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
