About the Role

Perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to help provide care to patients, support physicians and keep office operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Collect basic patient intake and vitals
Perform necessary point of care testing
Document all patient visits and communication in EMR properly
Performs capillary blood draws, newborn screens, dental varnish, and routine hearing and vision screens
Properly administer oral medication as directed by the provider
Handles refills/ referrals/ authorizations
Answer back line phone calls as needed as well as accurately chart phone calls and initiate proper follow through
Perform necessary cleaning duties maintaining an orderly work environment and ensure an adequate stock of medical supplies
Responsible for all incoming school/day care forms for the assigned provider
Ethical conduct, confidentiality, and collaboration with the healthcare team are expected
Maintain regular and prompt attendance
Maintain physical demands and work environment

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
CMA Certification and/or 6 months Medical Assistant experience
CPR Certification (Preferred)
Knowledge of EMR software (Preferred)
