About the Role
Guides guests to appropriate tables, interacts with guests and staff courteously, and ensures gracious hospitality. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area, processes reservations, and assists with guest inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional appearance standards.
- Anticipate and accommodate guest needs.
- Maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area.
- Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Actively take and process reservations for guests.
- Assist with incoming calls and answer guest questions.
- Check guests’ coats and other belongings (where applicable).
- Assist with setting up front desk area, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures.
- Ensure all appropriate menus are printed and ready for service.
- Ensure all menu books are organized with current menus.
- Collect menus throughout the venue during shift.
- Perform opening and closing side-work as prescribed.
- Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
- Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings.
- Participate in training sessions or departmental meetings.
- Learn by listening, observing, and sharing knowledge.
- Portray a positive and professional attitude.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Company, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
- Work as part of a team and provide help and support to fellow team members.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
- Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
- Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
