About the Role
Nandos is hiring for Back of House staff, including Cleaners, Expeditors, Grillers, and Prep Cooks. We offer a fun, casual work environment that feels like family, with opportunities to learn new skills and receive support, development, and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and maintain organization and cleanliness of dish room, dish machine, and storage areas.
- Assist with cleaning other areas of the restaurant, putting away orders, cooking chicken, and basic food preparation.
- Ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner, meet Nando's standards, and reach the correct customer.
- Prepare and package take-out orders.
- Take ownership for the daily preparation and execution of food items in assigned station.
- Consistently follow recipes, procedures, and presentation standards.
- Keep ingredients ready for service.
- Perform daily preparation of food items as assigned by the management team.
- Ensure use of freshest ingredients, follow sanitation guidelines, and prep recipes to standard.
Requirements
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
- Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Basic English language and professional communication skills are required.
