About the Role
Right at Home is seeking experienced and professional Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide 1:1 care to clients with physical, medical, or memory impairments in Scarborough. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.
Responsibilities
- Provide social stimulation, conversation, and mental engagement.
- Initiate and promote physical activity tailored to the client's abilities.
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals as needed.
- Prompt clients with their routine and assist directly with personal care.
- Maintain a clean environment (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry).
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
Requirements
- Must live in Canada, be local to the job opportunity, and eligible to work in Canada.
- Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Screen (copy required).
- All caregivers are to wear a mask while with a client.
